Alex Nelu (b. 1990 / Bucharest, Romania) is a photographic artist based in the North of England. He is a graduate of the BA Photography, Video and Digital Image Processing programme at The National University of Arts in Bucharest and has completed an MA in Contemporary Fine Art at the University of Salford.
Alex started working as a studio assistant to Tibi Clenci in Bucharest at 17 and has established his own freelance photography practice in 2010, taking on editorial assignments with several magazines in areas such as portraiture, fashion, interiors, lifestyle and culture. He currently works at the University of Salford in Manchester and focuses on his artistic practice.
